There is also a very small handwritten in fine calligraphy name-plaque inside. The name is very old, Eriader, which is not used anymore our days, and confirms the very early origin of the pin. The original beveled glass has a spider crack in the middle, however it doesn't diminish the collectible value. The brooch features rose and yellow gold and has C-clasp, typical for the period. The needle is made of silver. The pin comes in original round red and gold paper box. The pin does not have any hallmarks (typical for the early period jewelry), but it acid tested as at least 14-15k gold. The pin with original box is as seen in the photos.
0.9" along the needle (without needle) and 0.8" across. The antique Georgian 14K gold mourning pin in original box is in very good condition, considering the age, except that the original beveled glass has a spider crack in the middle. Most of our items are in excellent or very good condition (unless otherwise specified). We provide very fare descriptions.
