The duty mark is very rubbed but looks to be William , not George - it was the change of year for the monarch. Decorated with a halo of black enamel inscribed in gold - In Memory of. The ornate shanks are beautifully worked. The centre is a raised gold rim surrounding a small glass centred hair locket. Size P (UK) 17 1/4 (US).This ring is inscribed to the inside for William Hampson 1834. Does not look to have been sized so would have been intended for a male (Georgians were much tinier boned than us).
