Antique 18ct gold Victorian plaited hair mourning ring, (c1880). Plaited hair set in a 18ct gold band, with monogrammed cartouche to the centre (initials J A) & a gold panel each side in a foliate design. 1876 Queen Victoria is granted the title of Empress of India from 1877. 1880 The first electric streetlight is installed in Indiana.
1885 The first pedestal flush toilet is demonstrated at the Beaufort Works, Chelsea. Marks rubbed, makers mark just visable & 18ct. Excellent condition with light surface marks that are consistent with genuine age, use & polishing.
