White Raven is pleased to offer (and will consider reasonable offers for) this fabulous antique Victorian Mourning Brooch/Pin with three Seed Pearls and a lock of brown hair with a curl. This piece is probably from the late 1800's, I have not cleaned it as I would recommend to have that professionally done by a jeweler. The Seed Pearls do show age and the Pin Stem and Locking Clasp (which works perfectly) are earlier repairs. My pricing does reflect condition.

I noticed in my photos a small white spot top center, after investigating it was seen to be dust and is no longer there. The glass is original, it's quite thick and free of any cracks or chips. Few of these black and gold scroll brooches are out there, I've seen some described as Black Enamel and others as Black Jet, a jeweler could probably discern which it might be (I lean toward Enamel). I do not know if this piece is Gold Plated or Carat Gold, it weighs approximately 17.3g.
